We want you to be the person who registers on our website, not somebody else abusing your email address. This is why your account becomes active only after confirming a link in an email we send to you (called activation email).

As soon as you hit the "submit" button during the registration process, an email will be sent to you - immediately. If you can't find this email, check the spam box of your email program. If it is not there, check the spam box on your email server. You can do this if you have a webmail option with your email provider.

Because the activation email is automatically generated, free email provider such as hotmail, yahoo, web.de, gmx, aol, and many others are notorious to consider too many emails as spam. 

If nothing else works, use your work email for the account activation and change it later on to your private email. You can do this through the "Your Details" link in the control panel (top of this page).
